It is with so much love and excitement that I introduce you to the newest addition to our family — Boden Grey Bigelow. He came into our lives July 23rd at 4:08pm weighing 7 pounds and measuring 20 inches long.

The name was chosen as a hybrid to a couple of names Trevor and I both loved. “Bo Bigelow” was a name Trev would always bring up as a strong boy’s name. I wasn’t sold on having it be just “B-O” and so when our friends asked if we had considered the name “Boden” at our gender reveal party, our ears perked up and we fell in love. He could have the option between both names “Boden” and Bo”. “Grey” was derived from the name “Greyson” which I was really in love with, however Trev wasn’t entirely sold on. We loved the idea of having a one syllable middle name to accompany “Boden”, as well as having it be a color so relevant to us and our home. Thus, the name “Boden Grey” was formed.

It’s been almost two weeks now at home with Little Bo and our days have been filled with gazing into his eyes, cuddling and loving on him so hard. He is changing every day and his cuteness gets sweeter by the minute. So far we’re pretty sure he gets his darling button nose, luscious lips and need to be held from daddy + his pretty eyes, small ears and need for movement from mama. He loves being swaddled, listening to music, being pushed in his stroller and smiling when we mimic him.

Seeing Trevor with Boden is a feeling beyond words. My heart melts as I watch him hold his son, with so much love, pride and joy. He’s already proven how incredible of a dad he’s going to be. I’m so excited to watch their relationship unfold into the strongest bond — as Bo is going to look up to his dad as the number one man in his life.

Smalls has been handling the adjustment like the best big bro we knew he’d be. Day one he was a little shocked, begging for our attention, but now he won’t leave Bo’s side. When he cries, Smalls looks at Trev and I in concern to do something. When he is lying down or in our arms, Smalls will come over to give him the most gentle kisses. It’s adorable.

This experience so far has been pure magic. I still can’t believe we made this little bundle of joy together… that we get to keep him, raise him and teach him all there is to know about life.
