The midi skirt obsession has been going strong since last year and I can see why. It makes for endless styling opportunities! In the spring / summer you can pair your satin midi with a sleeveless ribbed top or tee. Throw on strappy sandals for a night out or sneaks for a casual look. Layer with a blazer for added volume and warmth. In the fall / winter you can rock a sweater or leather jacket. Dust off your favorite pair of booties or rock a knee high for extra sass.

What makes the satin midi skirt a great example of an elevated basic is the versatility and added edge. Breaking Down the Edit //

This outfit was inspired by the cream colored satin midi skirt I recently was gifted from & Other Stories. I had a printed option and was desperately seeking a neutral version to style more frequently, and alas — I found it. As fall is just around the corner, I’m really leaning into those autumn hues of browns, tans and olives. This silk blend tee felt like the right pairing.

Since I’m living in comfort these days as a new mom — I’m getting tons of use out of my Golden Goose Superstars. No joke, these are the must-have sneaker for any modern woman on the go. You’ll get your money’s worth and they honestly get better with every wear.

Lastly, I’m pretty into the mini bag trend and fell in love when I saw this knotted tote under $30.
