In case you missed it… we found a home, we’re expecting our second baby AND we’re starting a massive remodel project (cue the fireworks and anxiety)! Jokes aside, we’re feeling blessed and beyond excited for all the things happening all at once in our world. And though undergoing a remodel while expecting wasn’t exactly the scenario I had envisioned, it’s going to be SO worth it in the end. So alongside brewing a babe, I’ve been deep in renovation planning in tandem with our contractor and design team and wanted to share inspiration and design plans for Phase I : our main level remodel.
As shared in my high level remodel post, Phase I includes the following:
Below you’ll find a breakdown of every room, including original images from our listing, mood board inspiration and design plans created thus far with our designers.
inspiration includes a bold, mid-century door with see through side windows, accent flooring – chevron or stone, a potential textured splash wall with grand styled console table.
inspiration includes white walls, oak flooring, floor-to-ceiling black windows, statement fireplace, open concept flowing into dining and kitchen
inspiration includes large dining room table with chandelier light fixture, breaking up living to the kitchen
inspiration includes masculine touches with character, wooden accents across cabinetry, waterfall island w/ stool seating, white stone w/ dark veins, breakfast nook near window & bar sink/coffee area
inspiration includes wooden detail on ceiling or wood batten paneling as accent wall, updated fireplace with plaster up to ceiling, black lighting, serene feel with slight edge
inspiration includes reconfiguring layout, dual wooden vanity sinks, free standing tub, black framed glass shower w/ dual heads, replace stained glass with black windows
inspiration includes light and bright, neutral tones, natural light if possible via skylight, arch doorway between bathroom and closet
inspiration includes making room smaller to allow for bigger closet, arch pocket door from closet, patio access with black french doors, swing door from trev’s office, organic shapes, cabinetry/built-ins, gallery wall
inspiration includes taking over second laundry room, make bigger by converting full bath to powder room, funky wallpaper/ jewel tone colors, bigger windows for natural light
inspiration includes converting 3/4th bath into smaller powder room to allow more space in trev’s office, dark and moody mixed with natural wood, statement marble sink
I’ll be sharing daily updates via Instagram — on stories and via my renovation highlight reel — so be sure to follow along for more. And once we have progress, I’ll share before and after photos from demo to completion!
