On the morning of this last Sunday during NYFW a couple of bloggers and I made the hop over the bridge to Brooklyn for a little am photo shoot. 

It was a little rainy, but well worth getting a bit wet for. 

Brooklyn has so many amazing walls, buildings and corridors with character — you know those city grunge vibes. My favorite type of background to shoot outfits in front of. 

This NYFW outfit was my “menswear edit” — containing pieces that are influenced from the opposite sex, yet updated with the perfect modern feminine touch:

// the button down shirt — crisp, white, sans collar and added flare on the sleeves

// the plaid trouser — tailored, cinched at the ankle and button detail

// the camel trench — tie waist, color blocked and the most elevated side slits

// the red pump — cocoon shaped, deep power red and a silhouette perfect for strutting the streets

// the grey satchel — metal chain, quality leather, zipper pockets for that extra added edge

// the round sunnies — iconic round shape, gold frame for an old meets new again look

And of course, the perfect accessory for the rain — my Certain Standard umbrella — the Gramercy Small  was essential for this NYC trip.
