This week’s Friday Five was inspired by the current fickle and confusing AF weather. I’m not complaining — I’ll take any rays of sunshine we can get here in Seattle. But like, can it be Spring already?
Well, we’re less than a week away — so YAY! Which means time to add a few key transitional pieces to your wardrobe. Essentially items that you can wear to make you feel like you’re dressing for Spring, but that help you from getting cold when the weather’s not really feelin’ like warm Spring.

The Trusty Denim Jacket
A denim jacket is the classic answer to your lightweight jacket needs. It gives you that ounce of coolness you want. God love the 90s style that’s lingering. I’m loving the oversized options out right now because they scream street — especially when paired with sneaks or booties. Here’s a great option under $100 and another for $128 (my fave). If you want to get funky with it, try this moto style or even the duster — love!
The Urban Windbreaker
Get active at the gym or simply by walking the streets in one of these cool, breezy jackets. Pair with leggings or denim and your fave pair of Adidas or Nikes. I’m loving this white one on sale right now, this one that’s a black sheen, the brand young millenials go ga ga over and then this longer silver version. So street chic!
The Obvious Trench
You know what happens in Spring right? It gets a little wet… gotta make those flowers grow! I love how stylish trenches have gotten over the years. This is a great inexpensive and neutral option that can be paired over any outfit and then there’s this more traditional blush version. And if you’re looking to invest a little, loving this khaki one.
The Long Blazer
A little less “for the weather” than the trench, a blazer can take you from the office to drinks after work. I’m obsessing over this brand new collaboration piece, this boucle jersey one and then this oversized colorful number.
The Statement Leather
Yes, it’s leather jacket season finally. Why not step it up a bit. It’s likely you have your basic go-to from the Fall. I love the whipstiched detail here, the tassels here and the insane mix of rhinestone and paint detail. But the best by far (and a little more of your pennies), this biker beauty.
So there you have it. Your wardrobe is set.
Let me know which piece if you favorite addition in the comments below!
