I try to keep it as real as I can on this blog. I just feel like I owe that at the very least to anyone who is kind enough to follow me. If you watch my stories on insta, you’ll know I love an occasional confession from the heart from time to time. Well, I thought I’d bring you a little extra today.

Sharing ten things I’m embarrassed to tell you. Because no one is perfect in this world. And that’s the honest truth.

I’ve lacked confidence ever since leaving my 9-5 job.

Even though I know leaving the corporate world was the right move for me, I still have so much doubt in my self. Add having a baby into the mix and it’s a whole lotta feels. You can learn more about my career leap journey in the life edit series.

I’m usually late at purchasing gifts for birthdays and other special occasions.

And I hate it. Every year I have a goal to get ahead and for some reason, I still lag behind. Really trying to work on this, especially now that I’m a mom.

I enjoy the idea of cooking, but not the act.

Trevor is way better at this. He measures, he follows directions, he says he enjoys the process. I, on the other hand, stress about the outcome and would much rather enjoy his yummy creations (or just throw together a quick salad or bowl).

I don’t wear 80% of what’s in my closet.

it’s something I’ve come to realize more as I’ve gotten older, but I truly just need an assortment of basics with random statement pieces for occasions… ya know?

I sometimes let food sit in the fridge and pantry if it’s expired, just to feel like we are stocked with food.

Ughhh so embarrassing. It’s the worst. Working on this. I am the only one who goes through things… so it’s on me!

I wear my hair down a lot because I hate my ears.

I have a dent in my left ear and the pair are tiny and stick out. I’ve always been self-conscious and if I was ever to get anything “done” — I’d get an ear job ;).

I hoard boxes and bags.

Especially when they’re cool and high quality. I try to reuse as much as possible but you should seriously see my stash… it’s a little much.

Half of the plants in my home are half alive.

My fiddle leaf has been browning for a long time and another plant Trevor recently affixed to the wall with a string because of its lean. I tend to be very lazy in this department (not proud) we’ve found ourselves buying more faux.

I let Bo hang in his crib if I need a few more minutes of shut-eye.

Our little guy is an awesome sleeper. He smiles when we put him down and actually likes to hang out in his crib without crying — and I take advantage. He’s up at 7 on the dot each morning but if he’s not crying and I’m still tired, I’ll give him a little time.

I waited 8 months to look at you know where after having a baby.

So like recently… I know. I was just afraid. But, relieved to report we’re good!
