‘Tis the season for festive gatherings and holiday parties — where our calendars are packed with cheer our and bodies are full of cocktails.

It’s a magical time of the year. A time to be thankful, a time to reflect back and a time to spread love and happiness all around.

It’s also a time to make sure you’re looking and feeling your best, while preparing your wardrobe for all the fun that’s in store. Thus, I’m excited to share with you the 2017 Holiday Dressing Guide. The first annual — and certainly not the last!

 

Caution : Excessive Amounts of Planning Ahead

When December 1st came (out of nowhere), I won’t lie, I started to panic…

When would we put up festive decorations? When should we throw our holiday party? When will I start Christmas shopping? What days of work do I have to request off? What recipes should I plan? Is Smalls a size medium or large in the reindeer suit on Amazon? What am I going to wear to event A, B and C?

Insane right. My mind literally wanders like that all the time but over the holidays it’s in supercharge mode. Probably due to the increase in sugar.

But for real, lots to think about and plan around this time of year. You’ve likely have an invite to at least 3 of the following:

• a company holiday party
• your significant other or friend’s holiday party
• a cocktail night with your girlfriends
• a festive date night with your mate
• an ugly sweater party
• a while elephant exchange
• a friends gift exchange
• a holiday potluck
• a new year’s rooftop party

And that’s not even counting the actual event most are counting down to where a jolly old man in a suit delivers gifts to your family’s home.

A lot right?

What I’m Wearing

I’ve got to give a shout out to my sis in law for the most amazing birthday gift ever — pictured in this post. This navy and gold dress from Revolve is so amazing and is totally on point with my style (I LOVE long sleeve mini dresses). It’s sold out but you can get on the waiting list to be notified when it’s back in stock (or shop the similar styles in this post).

I’m planning to rock it on NYE and can’t wait to style it with some glammy earrings.

But PS when I shot this with my amazing photog gf it was 7am outside of my work on a Monday and was totallyyy sweating that my colleagues would see me in a short mini sequin dress wondering to themselves, “wtf?!” — hehe. #bloggerprobs
