Summer’s still here, and it there’s one “trend” I’ve noticed myself following, it’s putting one type of fabric at the forefront of my dressing — cotton. Sharing a little bit about why I wear cotton in the summer and how it’s the fabric your wardrobe should consist of the most.
There are a handful of reasons I’m flocking to cotton this summer…
It’s a natural fiber —
Cotton is hypoallergenic and you can guarantee its soft touch on the skin. I shop this fabric the most not only for me, but my boo and babe as well.
It’s cooling —
Cotton allows air to circulate and move freely through the fabric, making it super breatheable. It also absorbs moisture, which is perfect for those hot, summer days. Love rocking white cotton when it’s warm.
It’s versatile —
Cotton comes in all varieties for all occassions. Tees, shirts, blouses, denim, dresses, jackets. It can be worn during the day, in the evening and even to bed.
It’s classic —
Cotton is the fabric that will make up the many staples needed in your closet. A crisp, white shirt. A soft pair of denim. It can be pressed to give a crisp, polished look.
Organic cotton like whoa —
Organic cotton is a must if you have the option. Grown without harmful chemicals or contaminates. Producing less CO2 and using less water. All around, the better option for ourselves and our environement.
