It’s almost the weekend, friends!

Well, actually today is my weekend — ????

I’m headed on a jet plane headed to Chicago for a ten day trip to visit family and friends and I just had to share with you the number one item I packed in my suitcase.

Well duffle bag amongst the other shoes in addition to my suitcase — ????

If you’ve been following me for a bit, you’ll know I tend to gravitate towards clothing and shoes of little color. I love a clean palette that consists of neutrals, greys and blacks. I love this because you can introduce a pop of color easily this way.

You’ll also know I tend to talk about the idea of inserting edge into your wardrobe and elevating your basics. A blazer with extra length or buttons, a pair of denim with added detail.

So though it may come to little surprise that I’m about to rave about this new find, it surprises me a bit — years ago you would not see my rocking this pair of boots that looked like they belonged in MJ’s Thriller video.

But oh… the evolution of personal style…

My love for Opening Ceremony began during my last NYC trip when I stumbled into the SoHo showroom which ended up being one of the coolest retail spaces I’ve experienced. Nooks and crannies filled with merch.
