Distance may keep us apart… but it can’t put our Stylelogue series to a halt! It’s a new normal we’re all living in… staying home to stay safe. Though the news is saddening and these times are tough, Elisa, Mary and I wanted to bring you some style inspiration from our home areas to yours. Thanks to our amazing husbands (and daughter) photographers, we’re bringing you the April Issue : Vegan Leather Separates.

The weather if getting better but that doesn’t mean you have to put your leather away! Given that Earth Day falls within the month of April, the gals and I decided to showcase ways to wear vegan leather by styling a variety of separates we picked out. Because ICYMI — eco-friendly is here to stay.
So what’s vegan leather anyway?? Well, it’s a faux leather often made from polyurethane but can also be made from more sustainable materials like fruit waste and recycled plastic. It makes you look good and feel good as it’s cruelty-free. More than a billion animals are sadly slaughtered for their skins every year. It’s also better for the environment, as a ton of energy and toxic chemicals are used when skin is turned into leather.
I’m loving the assortment that’s available right now across shade and style. The warmer hued creams and olives are oh so perfect for the light sun. Sharing my fave separates available now below:

So I went for black and white yet again… and actually this wasn’t the look I was planning to shoot. Trev has been amazing helping me with photos during quarantine. It’s usually something I try to avoid as he gives a lot of creative direction which can often lead to bickering, but this time he actually gave some damn good advice.
I knew I wanted to style a faux leather shirt, and when I found this one for half off, I snagged it up. The quality is so good! It doesn’t feel like you’re wearing a stiff plastic tablecloth like some cheap vegan leather options. I had planned on styling it with these vegan leather biker shorts and some chunky sneaks with the clear belt bag. But when I came downstairs ready for our shoot, Trev looked at me and goes “would you even wear that out?”. And the answer was no. I’m a 34 year old who loves wearing elevated basics, and so that’s what I went back upstairs to find. Hence the black and white ensemble styling my new fave pair of white jeans and a damn good ribbed tee.
Men… can’t live with them, can’t live without them… ????

Like a boss… E brought together a street style look with a sophisticated twist. I’m dying over the camel vegan leather blazer over the bralette. And with the pops of neon accessories? So good. And claps for her daughter Kins for snapping these amazing shots.

M does it again with a compilation of drool-worthy, on-trend pieces. The vegan leather pants are dreamy and I love how she paired it such a sassy textured trench. The color palette is meant for spring… and those neutral accessories are perfection.

I have to say — getting dressed on random days while at home has really been a mood booster. Feeling very thankful to have these ladies in my lifr to keep me stylish.
If you’re feeling this trend and want to rock some faux leather during your time at home… share the love and use the hashtag — #seattlestylelogue.
Stay well, friends… remember to treat our Earth well too.
