This month’s trend story is nothing new, but most definitely nothing short of amazing. Hence the reason it’s stuck around for some time now. As we move into our ninth month of our Stylelogue series — Elisa, Mary and I are pumped to share with you fresh ways to style the forever chic and always edgy family of prints. Ladies, we bring you our July Issue : Uncaged Animal Print.

Animal print… a trend that’s been around the block a few times if you know what I mean. In other words, it’s not going away. People love the bold, head-turning statement they can make with it. Something resembling the wild… allowing the inner beast to be free ;).
Which is what we’re going for with the Uncaged Animal Print story this month. This season, it’s all about thinking outside of the box — with a whole jungle of prints to choose from via your fave retailers. Tiger… zebra… crocodile… cow hide… can’t decide on one? Double or triple up. Mixed prints are where it’s at. And want to go even more exotic? Try taking your snakeskin print to neon.
Leopard will always be the classic and top print in my eyes, but I’m swooning over others by some of my favorite elevated brands. Anine Bing’s current collection is full of uncaged animal print options and so are Golden Goose’s and Ganni’s. Below I’m sharing the best of what I’ve found available now across clothing and accessories:

Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cage… NOT. I took a walk on the wild side this month and decided to mix that print into one hybrid uncaged animal. It all started with the zebra print satin midi skirt — which I have to say, I can’t get enough of. Seriously considering adding this vibrant one to my collection next. Of course I had to pull from the neutrals by adding more neutral pairings. This cropped tee everyone should own in at least three colors in + this cream blazer which has been getting quite across spring and summer.
Accessories are where I kicked it up a notch. Keeping with the other non-stop trend of natural bags with this black basket clutch and an added flair for the hair (or bag, obvs). Looove these snakeskin booties to death and really love this current option too. And my gradient sunnies and black gem necklace just are some TGE essentials I couldn’t leave at home.

The wild child herself who loves to take accessorizing to a new level really proved just that this month. I love how Elisa pulled the blue from her snakeskin print shirtdress to a leather jacket for versatile pairing. The wrap belt keeps the look edgy and complements her gorgeous black and white heeled sandals. Finally the pop of white with the bag adds a sophisticated touch.

Mary stole the show with her elegant pairing of a sexy, belted slip dress under an elongated snakeskin coat. She doubled up on the snakeskin print with her heeled slides and definitely tied it all together with elevated black accessories. I swear those wild cat eye sunnies are meant for her face more than any one I’ve seen! This girl is one polished piece of python.
