May Issue : Pipe and Row Denim

Pipe and Row is a boutique situated in the quirky Fremont neighborhood of Seattle that offers a variety of inspirational pieces and effortless staples. I’ve been in love with the shop for years as it not only is in my backyard, but the assortment of elevated basics is insane. The storefront and online shop is owned and operated by female founder, Kayla Gil, who is a badass. Everything that comes into the shop is curated from local artists, designers abroad — all through her lens that our individual styles should be celebrated.

If I’m ever looking for a simple but on-trend tee, a minimal jewelry piece to add to my everyday stack or a damn good pair of denim — all with amazing quality — I go to Pipe and Row. And as of this last year post-baby, I’ve been relying on the brand for literally, ALL of my denim needs. Because it’s just that good.

Elisa and Mary can attest. On the days at home where we feel the need to put on a pair of denim, we’ve been relying on our faves from Pipe and Row. So much that we felt compelled to create our May Issue highlighting their collection of denim.

About My Edit

I have been on a serious jumpsuit obsession lately… and on the hunt for the perfect brand, fit, tailoring… IT ALL. When we decided to highlight denim for our May trend story, I knew I had to find a denim jumpsuit that checked all the boxes. And of course, Pipe and Row had THE one. This oversized beauty is structured, has sleeves and pantlegs meant for rolling with a belted waist that really femmes it up. Perfect with sneaks but also totally meant for a heeled slide or mule.

I felt like a boss when I rocked this suit and though I endured many jokes from my quarantine creative director/photographer husband during this “gas station shoot”, he ended up admitting he loved the look at the end of it all.

The sneakers are a favorite from years ago, but I’ve found a similar style here with the obvious designer go-to here. And of course, a chain link necklace for added edge. No bags needed.

And oh, did I mention this jumpsuit comes in cream and black?! GAH. PS. size down one or two sizes in this brand. I’m wearing an XS.

About Their Edits

ELISA —

When E said she was going for a black on black look, I couldn’t wait to see what she came up with. She always finds a way to make a statement somehow. This time, she did it with unique cuts and bold beaded textures. The pair of criss-cross denim she’s rocking is to die for. Such an amazing fit, perfect with a bodysuit as she shows here. Also comes in the perfect light blue wash.

Always ahead of the trend, M shows up in a head-turning blue and white colorblock denim set. I love how the boxy fit of the jacket paired with the straight leg pants suits her petite body so well. She accessorized with a little seventies-style vibe in mind and I know her BAE was feeling every bit of this look while he shot her ;).
