The power of collaboration. After three years of blogging, if there’s one thing that I could dub as most valuable it is this. One year ago three Seattle bloggers from different backgrounds decided to take a chance on an idea they had to collaborate — putting their creative minds together in an effort to inspire collectively as a whole. The monthly series Stylelogue was born and Elisa, Mary and I haven’t looked back. Today, we’re bringing you a special edition post in honor of our one year anniversary. We’re turning heads with friends and teddies in November’s Issue : Statement Fur.

ZEBRA TUNIC | BLACK TROUSERS | TEDDY COAT | BELT BAG | POINTED BOOTIES
When it comes to making a statement during the cold months, you’ve got a few options. Boots, warm-weather accessories and big ass coats. Can you guess which route we went?
Thanks to our friends at MaxMara Bellevue, the girls and I got to celebrate one year together rocking a trio of iconic furs — teddies to be exact. MaxMara’s Teddy Bear Icon Coat is quite possibly, the most luxe coat you’ll ever put on. It was introduced in 2013 to the masses on the MaxMara runway and has since influenced an immense amount of similar styles.
What makes this super snuggly teddy unique is the blend of camel wool and silk along with the modernized oversized shape with dropped shoulders. Covering 3/4 of your body, it’s similar to having your plushest childhood teddy bear give you a real-life hug.

Teddy coats are a great way to make a statement this Fall and Winter. If you’re not quite there with saving your pennies for a dream coat such as the icon, there are some great options available to you from our favorite retailers ranging in the $100s.
SHOP FAVORITE TEDDIES
As we walked into MaxMara to explore their amazing fur options, my eyes naturally gravitated to the classic, camel-colored teddy. Call me crazy (because I actually already own a camel-colored faux teddy), but I just wanted to rock the real, insanely iconic, deal.
Every Fall, my love for neutrals really comes out. I slowly introduce more and more black, but the warm-hued tones definitely take over. Which is why you’re finding me in this ensemble of head to toe neutrals, thanks to the help of MaxMara Bellevue’s styling team. The pieces are all very classic, yet hold a modern twist with animal detail. The zebra print, the croc-embossed bag. So in love.

ZEBRA TUNIC | BLACK TROUSERS | TEDDY COAT | BELT BAG | POINTED BOOTIES
Every month it’s evident the three of us lean into what we know and love best. While I often like to keep it real with the classics, Elisa stays true to her head-turning looks and Mary always on-trend.
SHOP ELISA’S EDIT
TEDDY COAT | SWEATER | TROUSER | BOOTS | BAG | BELT
What’s head-turning about this month’s look? I mean, this red is everything. The scarlet hue screams romance and pairs extremely well with the other black, white and camel-colored pieces. I love how E always plays with textures and patterns. The houndstooth sweater is the perfect example of that.

SHOP MARY’S EDIT
TEDDY COAT | TURTLENECK | SKIRT | BOOTS | BAG
And then there’s this beautiful turquoise gem — that no one other than Mary could pull off. I love how she paired it with the same colored turtleneck and played with floral in her skirt choice. The combat boots add the perfect “in-the-now” flair and I love the added grunge. Seattle is really rubbing off on her ;).

As I said earlier in this post, this is a special edition issue as it involves our friends. When we began Stylelogue, we set out to not only create a dialogue about style in Seattle — we wanted to find ways to involve the broader community. With an amazing Galentine’s Brunch under our belt, we felt it was appropriate to pull some of our faves together for this stylized shoot.
Here you’ll find a group of amazing women that support each other and lift each other up on the daily. They’re fierce, kind and know how to rock a damn good fur!
