The ability to add a variety of black pieces, each with different texture, details and fabrics… the way it makes you look so perfectly posh… the way a bright white bag and a red lip can make the entire look pop.
I just straight dig it.
This outfit was pulled together ever so suddenly. It started off with the Theory tie dress I found on sale. My first Theory item and I’m happy I held out until I found something good (and on sale). It’s delicate, feminine, sexy for a shift dress (IMO) and is easy to layer and style.
Then came the sock booties that I had been eyeing ever since they came out. Jeffrey Campbell seriously makes the best shoes. They always seem to be that elevated basic look with edge I’m craving.
The coat I had — standard necessity to winter. A black wool coat that literally goes with everything.
The watch was another super sale deal and the shades were ones I’ve been eyeing for soo long and waited on a waiting list for. Matte goodness.
Nordstrom has some insane perks friends, so let’s just say this insanely gorgeous Winter white beauty fell into my hands at a time where I was absolutely not planning on adding another nice handbag to my collection, but it was something I couldn’t turn down.
Those moments of anxiety when you really shouldn’t spend…
But then the feeling that you literally just added Gucci to your collection.
GAH!
If you’re all about that B & W look and like showing a little skin in the Winter like me, here’s how to do it:
A delicate shift dress with detail:
A black wool coat for layering:
Sock booties to keep some of your legs warm:
Accessories that play well with monochrome:
And one winter white tote that pops:
Well there you have it. Now own it like Posh Spice would.
