The Seattle style scene has become more elevated than ever. 

What was once known for grunge-loving, flannel-wearing dwellers back in the 90s has blossomed into one metropolitan area full of savvy, fashion-forward urbanites.

As the city continues to rapidly grow across its population, skyline and economy, the people of Seattle represent various cultures and trends from all over the world — doing wonders for Seattle’s overall style sense. 

The Personal Style Journey

Speaking of style sense — let’s talk about personal style, or “edit” as I like to call it. 

One of the reasons I started The Grey Edit was to showcase the transformation of my own personal edit, as I saw how much it shifted over the years and changed base on my environment. 

Learning and perfecting your own style takes time — in fact, it’s a constant evolution.

After living in Seattle for the last ten years, I finally feel like I know my edit : I’m a monochrome loving gal, a mix between classic and modern, who loves basics and playing with a bit of edge.

And now, after a couple of years doing this whole blog thing, I can honestly say that the biggest thing I’ve learned is that finding your own style and leaning into it is incredibly important. It’s what makes you, you — and helps evoke confidence and happiness. 

Unlocking Your Style Edit

For those of you who can relate and feel confident in knowing what your own style is — bravo! That’s a major accomplishment.

But for those of you who may be a bit lost, or quite frankly don’t even know where to begin — I feel you and I’m here to help.

My mission at The Grey Edit is to inspire women to find their own personal style, and to help with this, I’ve created a STYLE EDIT QUIZ that gives you insight around what style buckets your unique style lies within in.
