Ruffles. I literally can’t get enough. On dresses, on sleeves, on roofs… ruffles errwhere.

In a recent post I shared the new trend of Spring — Romance Undone. Guess what falls into this category? You guessed it, ruffles! And I’m pretty obsessed with mixing the flirty, girly detail with a little masculine edge.

Ruffles On Top

It’s true, I give in to trends a little too often. However when I do, I like to go with a neutral color so that the piece can remain as classic as possible, with an added twist. Giving in happened here too. I’m sorry but when I saw this pair of denim on my idol Mary Seng of Happily Grey, I knew they had to be mine. Distressed taken to another level. You can dress them up with a tight top and heels or down with flats as I did here. Thank you Free People!

Pro tip: these jeans run big! I decided to go down one size after trying them on, and then after I got in one wear, they stretched a ton, so had to go down another. Your welcome.

Men on Trends

I have to call out my husband here for not only being awesome when it comes to my obsession with fashion but also for his honest opinions on what I wear. Especially when it comes to new styles I try out, like this outfit.

Some may say men don’t understand fashion, but I think Trevor truly tries (I mean he has to with me, his mom and his sis), and I think he’s come a long way. He went from hating flowy (pro tip: men tend to like tight) to embracing rompers to totally jumping on the jogger train. I love it.

When I started writing this post, I needed a little inspo to get the juices flowing. Trevor popped into my office at the perfect time. Sharing the convo:

Me: What do you have to say about ruffles?

Trev: Uh, I love ruffles. They’re my favorite type of chip.

Me: <outburst look and laugh> hahahaha

Trev: <looking confused> What? What were you talking about?

Me: Ruffles on tops!

Trev: Oh. Well don’t I feel stupid.

God I love him. And god do I love ruffles!
