Ladies, ladies, ladies. If there’s one thing I’ve learned in my thirties, it’s that prioritizing self-care across beauty and health is ESSENTIAL. This means allocating those funds out of your monthly budget to ensure you are living, looking and feeling your best. Because we’re on our way to living past 100, right?
But finding the right gal to balayage those locks is hard. So is finding a clean nail salon that uses non-toxic products. And don’t even get me started on botox…
Well, I’m here to help. Having lived in Seattle for over ten years now, I’ve tested many locations through trials and tribulations and have finally found my “go-to” spots for health & beauty around town. So bookmark this post for reference and be sure to share with that gf who is seeking a new haircut gal.
I give you, my list —
A friend recently introduced me to this new lower Queen Anne neighborhood gem, and I haven’t looked back. The extremely chic, welcoming space was designed to provide clients peace of mind when it comes to their personal hygiene and safety. Using high-quality, non-toxic nail polish, you can guarantee your hands and feet will be taken care of. I see Katie and just love our personal alma mater connection (Go Cougs!) — not to mention her talent for nail art! Delia also offers skincare and waxing treatments with the cutest waiting room!
Mention The Grey Edit for an upgraded Delia Service for the price of the Classic Manicure!
Guys, this has been such a journey for me. Having been through various stages of brows (from bushy near unibrow in grade school, misshaped in high school, overplucked college, threaded to pieces in my late twenties), I’m happy to say I’ve finally figured it out. Thanks to Kasie, owner of Studio Wax Bellevue, we’ve assessed and redesigned my brows to align with the shape of my face for an overall natural arc and healthy thickness. She will customize your experience to bring you the best brows of your life through techniques of shaping, tinting and waxing. And the best part? Low maintenance. I make a visit monthly and love it.

I’ve been visiting this Med Spa for over five years and it’s been my absolute go-to for all things facials, laser hair removal and botox. For facials and laser, My girl is Angelina. She’s not only a sweetheart but makes you feel comfortable and knows exactly what type of custom plan you need. For Botox, I see Evelyn. She’s experienced and is willing to work with you on your aesthetic goals. The thing I love about Skinlogic, is that they offer membership packages. From $69 – $199 a month, you can come in for a variety of treatments on a monthly basis. I’ve been on the Platinum for several years as it’s the best bang for your buck if you’re doing various areas of laser treatments. Oh, and they also just remodeled their office :).
This is my GIRL! I’ve been seeing her for years and last year she moved into her very own studio in Ballard. The thing I love most about Katie is that she leaves your hair feeling healthy with natural tones. She believes in low maintenance hair so customizing a color plan that’s perfect for you is her number one priority. I visit her anywhere from 6-8 weeks for a base color and balayage that varies in cooler blonde tones (love me some creamy blonde). Though I’m SO excited for her, I’m saddened she’ll be returning back to Spokane this Spring. Thus, I’m sharing the two salons she’s recommended and I’ll be checking out in the future — when I’m not driving or flying to her ;).
Before Katie, I was a client of Goldcomb Salon — where I saw Rachelle (shop owner, who moved this space to Bellingham). She worked beside Nina (now the owner of Blonde and Gold) and every time I’d visit, I’d enjoy her spunky personality and style. I’m excited to meet her new team!
I’ve admired the colors that come out of this dreamy, well-lit Queen Anne salon for years, with many friends recommending it. I’m looking forward to learning they’re availability and paying my first visit.
This is one of those salon groups that you can guarantee leaving happy after each visit. I’ve been visiting Jasmine at the Downtown Seattle Branch for years and each time I see her, she gives me the fresh cut I’m looking for. I have a LOT of hair and so layering is essential along with lessening the fullness around my head. I love how she makes my hair feel lighter and more healthy after every snip. One of these days maybe I’ll let her chop more than 2 inches off… ;).
AESTHETIC CONTEMPORARY DENTISTRY
When it comes to beauty, the smile — in my opinion — is the most important part next to skin! I’ve been visiting this gorgeous, state of the art office for many years. Dr. Kollia brightens my day no matter what I’m in there for — root canal, cleaning or MTM (we’ve done a lot over the years). Her and her staff of women make you feel extremely comfortable and the technology they house is so advanced. I love how they are able to make crowns in-house the same day, vs having to wait. I also love the whitening trays they send me home with :).
Spinal health is one of my more recent adds to my overall self-care maintenance. I first started having back pains a few years ago and came across Dr. Kristina Schramm at a downtown office near my work. I remember being terrified to see a chiropractor — having to go through the cracks and pain. But Dr. Schramm made me feel so comfortable and I realized it was such an essential part of well-being. Last year she began her own practice and has come so far since then! With a recent move to Eastlake, her airy, plant-filled space is the perfect setting for an adjustment. Highly recommended during pre and post-pregnancy as well.
Mention The Grey Edit for a free exam — worth $100!

Stay tuned as I update this list over time. Other categories I’m currently looking to fill include massage and spray tan! Please add in the comments any that I may have missed or should check out!
