As I sat on the plane home from New York City to Seattle this Monday, I couldn’t help but think to myself — I can’t believe that just happened. I can’t believe I just attended New York Fashion Week.
Like whoa.
I’ll take any chance I can get to visit NYC. I’ve been obsessed with it ever since I visited for the first time back in 2009 and made plans to move there. I was seeking change and lined up a job, a place to stay with friends, had sold my things and was saying goodbyes. Then I met Trevor right before I was set to move. And well, the rest is history… in Seattle.
Oh love :).
After we had been dating for two years, we decided to take a trip to NYC together as Trevor had never been and it would be my birthday celebration. Little did I know he had been plotting an even bigger reason to celebrate as he got down on one knee during a carriage ride he had planned in Central Park. NYC now holds an even more special place in my heart.

Truly though, I love New York — there’s an insane amount of infectious energy there that I can’t get over. I mean, I was just there for five whole days with an insane back to back schedule and the entire time I just felt alive.
And there’s just so much to love — I love how people are direct, talkative and friendly. I love how you can dress any way you want and stare others up and down as a form of a compliment. I love how you can walk everywhere and get lost in new areas. I love how you can shop after 8pm and how opportunities are endless.
It’s my kind of town.
So back to Fashion Week —
It was insane.
The fact that I booked a ticket a month prior without having any official invitations to shows and a simple nudge from a few fellow Seattle bloggers, and had a jam packed schedule of events and happenings was crazy.
Rather than ramble on in my typical fashion about each day, I thought I’d try my hand at this vlogging thing. I took a lot of videos on the go, as most of you know if you were following along on my Insta stories, so I put together a digestible daily compilation for your viewing pleasure and highlights for your scanning pleasure.
Enjoy!

So there you have it — a little recap via video clips of the five day trip.
I must say I’m a beginner at this whole video thing, but it was kinda fun pulling together snippets to share.
