Hey ya’ll!
So if you haven’t gauged from my Insta, I’m still on a high about this last weekend’s trip to Austin. My girlfriends and I had such a good time major bonding and just letting loose in true girls weekend fashion.
ICYMI : read the previous post about the importance of girls weekends
The city just the coolest.
Cool vibes, cool people, cool buildings, cool clothing…
really, really COOL.
More deets coming in my soon-to-be-posted Austin Travel Guide, but until then, I wanted to share with you how my packing turned out.
If you’re wanting to “do as the Austin-folk do” and are looking for inspo around what to wear while touring this amazing city, keep reading…
I kinda want to pat myself on the back as I pretty much wore everything I put in my suitcase for this trip… which rarely ever happens.
Basically, I opted for a few key items I felt would allow me to achieve “Austin Style”:
– denim cutoffs: to show off some leg in hopes of getting those pasty
– flowy tops: to layer over a cute bralette for an ounce of sexy
– floral dress: in the case I wanted to dress up my day
– suede jacket: in the case it got chilly and because suede is
– a pair of western-ish booties: made for walking around town and fitting in
– a pair of sneaks: you know, for walking and looking cool
– a few accessories: ones I could mix and match each day (boho earrings, layering necklaces, a brimmed hat, western style belt, tortoise sunnies and a wicker bag)
—
From these categories I was able to pull together three outfits for each of the three days I had in the city. Things I could brunch in, shop in, grab drinks in the sun in, browse the SXSW streets in…
Sharing them for you below…
Breezy, leggy and urban cowgirl — this look is is the perfect neutral ensemble for you to pop your body in front of any muraled wall.
Achieve this look by mixing and matching the following…
Boho, flirty and free spirited female — this look will get you from fresh morning juice all the way to drinks atop a rooftop bar on Sixth Street.
Achieve this look by mixing and matching the following…
Easy, feminine and street-walking babe — this look is perfect for popping into any free SXSW event you can find your way into. Don’t forget your cam.
Achieve this look by mixing and matching the following…
So — which outfit are you planning to rock in Austin?

I love the shorts and booties. Looks like your trip down south was so fun!
I’m always being told I would LOVE Austin but I have yet to visit. Loving your super stylish and casual looks. Hugs, Kait
