Knowing this proven successful tactic, Trevor and I have done a pretty good job of packing our Winter calendars with long weekend getaways.

Last weekend it was Boise, Idaho to visit family and this weekend, it’s Whistler, BC to play with friends.

Naturally, the thing that’s been on my mind for the last several weeks has been — what am I going to wear on the mountain?!

Accessories for a Winter Getaway (Guaranteed Warmth and Style)

Parka

The parka is the number one must-have accessory of the season. The more boxey the fit, the better. Fur — added bonus (even more if it’s faux).

Puffer

Throwing it back! I take that back, after NYFW this jacket is the show-stopping must-have. The question is, will it stay in style as long as the parka?

Hat

A necessary evil (no one likes hat hair) — ensure you’re stylish in every photo with a statement head-piece.

Waterproof Boots

Practical meets cool — make sure you’re boots keep your feet dry and do the job of completing your outfit.

Scarf

For the lodge, by the fire and to wrap around your pretty little face when you walk the village. Elevate this basic by investing in quality for long-lasting wear.

Sunglasses

Another way to prove you mean business. Update your sunnies to the latest styles for ultimate show.
