I know, I know. Summer isn’t technically over yet, but as far as I’m concerned it’s time to start thinking and dreaming about Fall.

The crisp breeze… the sounds of leaves crinkling under your boots… the spice added to your drinks… the darker makeup hues for your face and nails.

Let’s be honest — Fall is damn good.

With this transition of seasons comes trying to figure out how to best outfit your bod for this in-between weather between Summer and Fall. Raise your hand if you’ve asked yourself every day before leaving your house in the morning lately, “Do I need a jacket?”.

The faithful accessory that works in both corporate boardrooms and after-work wine bars. Offering that prep look, while adding a pep in your step too. Pair this over a tank or tee and go casual with sneaks and sophisticated with pumps.

The Duster

Quite possibly the perfect coat for Fall. It’s knee-length combined with a slouchy fit is guaranteed to not only keep you warm, but make a statement acting as a great accessory to any outfit.

The Leather

Ah the leather jacket. If you don’t have one to act as your “go-to”, you best get on this. When we were in Paris for the first time, I rocked my go-to every damn day. It was perfect for the fickle weather happening there in September. It made me look and feel cool, while keeping me from the cool when needed too.

The Wool

So you have to be careful with wool, as it can be too heavy for this type of limbo weather. I suggest looking for wool blends with less than 50% wool material. If you do start rocking a wool, it’s going to last you through the Winter that’s for sure. The oversized car coats are my fave — and the definite way to go this season.

The Denim

We can thank denim legend Levi Strauss for creating the very first denim jacket in 1880 and to designers around the world for constantly evolving the look and feel of this key staple. Relaxed, distressed, fitted and embellished — go wild. There’s plenty of styles out right now to match your personality.
