Have you heard about the greatest piece of indoor exercise equipment that’s changing the way people work out at home?
The high-tech bike that allows you to stream 6000+ on-demand classes online, with some of the best instructors in the world?
Well if you don’t know, now you know.
Introducing, Peloton.
I honestly never was a big cycling class gal. Aside from the casual pop in to FlyWheel using ClassPass or attending the new SoulCycle studio in Seattle — it was all foreign to me, not to mention pretty intimidating.
Always the awkward start on the bike, often feeling like I was doing it wrong, hella bouncy… but never would dissapoint for one damn good workout.
So when my husband and I decided to turn a room in our basement into an at home gym — and had to consider the fact that our ceilings were rather low (gotta love those 1920s Craftsmans) — we started to look into indoor bike options.

I’ve always loved the idea of working out at home — if I only had the space… so I’d say.
A space to lay down a mat, do some yoga, practice some barre moves and totally do a mix of strengthening exercises.
Well once you build the gym, it’s allll doable. You’ve definitely, officially been hooked up with the space.
But the motivation? That’s a whole other story.
The reason why I’ve been a ClassPasser for years is because I’ve learned I need a bit of structure when it comes to working out.
I’m pretty good at throwing in runs throughout the week (in decent weather of course), but for toning, I need a good kick in the butt by an instructor who keeps me in check and tells me what to do.
Which is why when Trevor and I learned about Peloton, the countless bikes out there were all pushed aside…
As soon as we both sat on the bike in the showroom, we were sold. We had downloaded the free app ahead of time to watch some of the classes and were so into it.
The instructors, the music, the energy — the whole Peloton experience was top notch.
So we ordered the bike immediately in the showroom, took advantage of their 0% financing for a year of monthly payments (which happened to be way cheaper than our existing gym memberships combined) and received the goods within 5 business days.
From our first class all the way to our in-person class at their live studio in Manhattan — we’ve been hooked as loyal Peloton users.
My absolute fave instructors are Cody Rigsby — because he dances, thrusts his hips and calls me boo, Alex Toussaint — because his voice and good vibes are both the perfect combo of feel good and of course the insanely ripped and inspiring ultra-marathoner — Robin Arzon — who never ceases to whoop your ass every time.
The fact that you can access a wide variety of classes from hip hop, to pop, to disco that range from 20 to 60 minutes is amazing. It caters to every person, every interest and any schedule.
Oh and have I mentioned live DJ rides with my fave ever DJ John Michael?! Him + Cody or Him + Robin = AMAZE.
I like to get my workouts in as soon as I wake up. I literally roll out of bed, sometimes without even brushing my teeth, go downstairs to sit on my bike — and get my sweat on. Then, I’m left feeling good with a workout and a damn good sweat out of the way for one hell of a day.
This week I received an email from Peloton, which they’re awesome at doing, to congratulate me for being a part of the community for one year. The personal touches really make it. Whether it’s a monthly summary of my stats or if a new friend has joined in on the fun — it’s good marketing I actually look forward to getting.
I looove joining the live classes because if you are hitting a milestone — like a birthday or have added another 50 or 100 ride mark — they give you a shoutout!
I’ve had Jennifer Jacobs wish me happy birthday in person during an October recording last year at the NYC studio and Cody give a shout out to “thegreyedit” from Seattle for my 100th & 150th rides.
Watch the latest here — I totally blushed and gushed while riding and dripping sweat…
This indoor bike has been the best investment ever. The ease, the beautiful and modern design, the 24/7 access and the technology all make it well worth every penny.
Staying fit while working from home has been such a high priority, and I couldn’t have done it without Peloton.
If you’re interested in learning more about this incredible brand — check out their website and be sure to download the app as we did to watch some videos. They’ve recently added a “Beyond the Ride” section where you have access to bootcamp videos starting at 5 minutes for abs, glutes, arms, legs and more.
I urge you to visit a showroom if you have one near. And check out their new Peloton Tread offering too!

Thank you Peloton for changing my life — cheers to 150 rides more… and then some!
